We are a rapidly growing Practice in the Somerset town of Chard, currently with a list size of over 7800 patients (as of May 2022). We are situated in a state of the art building which opened in 2014 which we have recently expanded to add 2 additional clinical rooms due to the rapid growth of the practice.
The building offers a range of facilities which help us meet the variety of needs of our patients and this includes disabled facilities, a hearing loop, a large car park and level access to the surgery. The surgery gardens are welcoming and our consulting rooms as well as the reception area are light and airy. We are also proud to be a location site for Chard Defib Group’s 4th installed public defibrillator which was purchased by Chard Rotary Club in 2018.
Please do take note that the Practice gives access to a range of healthcare professionals who all work together to meet the needs of our patients. If you have an urgent need which requires a same day appointment our dedicated receptionists are trained to signpost you to the most appropriate clinician who will be able to help you. This will most likely be with our Primary Care Practitioner, or alternatively another appropriate service, for example by visiting a local pharmacy or Chard Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) based at Chard Community Hospital.
If you wish to see or speak with a Doctor about an ongoing, routine or non-urgent medical condition this will need to be completed by booking a future appointment as on the day appointments are not available for non urgent needs.
